New York – The Trump Organization announced on Monday the launch of a new wireless service called “Trump Mobile,” aiming to compete with major U.S. telecom providers like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.

Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s son, spoke at a launch event held at Trump Tower in New York early Monday, saying:

“We’ve focused heavily on bringing technology to people in need — whether that’s in crypto or other areas — but the mobile phone sector was one space where we saw serious underperformance.”

According to the service’s official website, Trump Mobile will offer a monthly plan priced at $47.45, a clear nod to Donald Trump’s two terms as the 47th and 45th president of the United States (depending on whether he wins re-election).

Trump Jr. added:

“With the Trump Mobile app, we’re rolling out a full package of services people can rely on — including access to telehealth services through their phones for a flat monthly fee, roadside assistance for their vehicles, and unlimited texting to over 100 countries worldwide.”

The announcement comes as part of the 10th anniversary of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign announcement, and marks the latest expansion of the Trump family’s ventures into the technology and media sectors.
