Bayern Munich 9-2 Dynamo Zagreb – Highlights
Bayern Munich made history today, becoming the first team to score nine goals in a single match in the modern Champions League, as Europe’s elite club competition kicked off its new format. Along with Bayern’s emphatic win, reigning champions Real Madrid and Liverpool were also among the victors.
Harry Kane stole the show, netting four goals—three of which were from penalties—leading Vincent Kompany’s Bayern to a staggering 9-2 victory over Croatian side Dynamo Zagreb at the Allianz Arena.
Michael Olise marked his Champions League debut in style, scoring twice, while Raphaël Guerreiro, Leroy Sané, and Leon Goretzka all found the back of the net for the German giants.
Although Dynamo trailed 3-0 at halftime, they managed to score two quick goals early in the second half—thanks to Bruno Petković and Takuya Ogiwara—giving the home side a bit of a scare. However, Bayern responded in ruthless fashion, piling on six more goals after the 57th minute.
