If you’re a Pakistani citizen or a resident in Pakistan directed by the Swedish Migration Agency to schedule an appointment for an interview, passport examination, fingerprinting, or photo-taking for residence permit applications due to family ties, studies, or work, it will be referred to the Swedish Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This also applies if you wish to apply for a visitor’s permit to visit Sweden for more than 90 days.
You cannot apply for a Schengen visa to visit Sweden at the Swedish Embassy in Addis Ababa.
Schengen Visa Applications for Visiting Sweden:
If you’re in Pakistan and looking to visit Sweden, you’ll need to apply for a Schengen visa. The place to submit your application is at VFS Global, but not in Pakistan. Instead, you’ll have to head over to one of their centers in Bangkok, Yangon, Hanoi, or Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Cebu, Jakarta, Bali, Phnom Penh, or Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore. The applicant chooses the application location and is responsible for arranging the visa if the chosen country requires it. The Swedish Embassy cannot assist or provide information on entry permits or visas to the country chosen by the applicant. After submitting the application to VFS Global, it is sent with the passport to the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok for processing and decision-making.
