Leaked Images of the Galaxy S25 Plus Suggest Samsung is Embracing Slimmer Phones
What you need to know:–
– Some images of the Galaxy S25 Plus have been leaked, indicating design similarities to other devices in the series.
– The phone is rumored to be slightly slimmer than the 2024 model, featuring fully black camera sensors, flat sides, and rounded corners.
– Other leaks suggest the phone may come with a 4900 mAh battery, though no details about its charging power have been mentioned.
We might now have a look at the entire Galaxy S25 series, as a new image of the Plus model has surfaced.
As reported by Android Headlines, the well-known leaker OnLeaks provided a glimpse of potential design changes for the Galaxy S25 Plus. At first glance, the device (unsurprisingly) sticks to a design similar to the leaked renders of the other two models in the series. The Galaxy S25 Plus is rumored to have a clean back panel with a vertically aligned triple-camera setup that shows slight modifications.
The lenses are expected to debut with a thicker black ring around each one. This would be a major change compared to the Galaxy S24 Plus and the S24 series in general, which had a slimmer and shinier outline that was much closer to the lenses.
Consumers may once again be greeted by a 6.7-inch screen, while rumors suggest the S25 Plus could see a “marginal” change in dimensions. According to the report, the phone may be 0.4 mm slimmer than the 2024 version. The rumored dimensions of the device are as follows: 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.3 mm, slightly smaller than its predecessor, which measured 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.7 mm.
The leaked image suggests that the Plus model will continue to feature rounded corners alongside flat sides, a trend Samsung has recently embraced. Overall, these alleged images of the S25 Plus suggest a device that mirrors its predecessor, aside from the potential change in the camera lens rings.
Elsewhere, the publication noted speculations by Ice Universe regarding the phone’s battery capacity (via SamMobile). The speculation claims that the S25 Plus will feature a 4900 mAh battery, similar to the S24 model.
It’s not surprising that Samsung would stick to the same battery capacity, as an earlier rumor suggested a similar fate for the Ultra model. The high-end version may retain the same 5000 mAh battery paired with 45W wired charging. Ice Universe’s recent post on X also claims that the base S25 will stick with the same 4000 mAh battery.
No charging power details for the Plus and base models have been mentioned, though it’s hard to imagine Samsung changing much in this regard.
What’s apparently changing are the camera rings for the upcoming S25 series. A previous set of design leaks for the base S25 hinted at a similar tone. There were rumors that this device would debut with a slightly thinner and smaller size. The S25 seems fairly close to the S24; however, the model that might see more changes is the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Early designs showed an incredibly flat device with rounded sides and corners. The softer corners could help with the in-hand experience, as older Ultra users would be familiar with those sharper corners digging into their palms. Additionally, another rumor claims that the Ultra model might feature a narrower aspect ratio.
